Cynar is an Italian aperitif made from 13 different plants and in particular the artichoke from which it takes its name: Cynara scolymus means artichoke in Latin.

It has a bitter sweet flavor and is served with a little soda, an orange slice and some ice cubes or in cocktails where it replaces the Campari successfully.

Can be consumed as an aperitif but also as a digestive. With tonic, orange juice, ice cubes, a slice of orange or lemon. Drink fresh.
