Linie is the oldest Aquavit brand in the world. The production of this wine dates back to 1805 when the Norwegian merchant family Lysholm sent for the first time Aquavit made from potatoes to the Indies. Nobody wanted it, so the aquavit returned to its port of departure. When he arrived in 1807, it was discovered that his voyage had a beneficial effect on his taste.
