The Italian liqueur Galliano was created in 1896 in Tuscany by Arturo Vaccari of Tuscany. It takes its name from Giuseppe Galliano who was a hero of the Italian war.
It is a mixture of 7 different infusions and 6 distillations containing many ingredients: anise, juniper, mint, lavender and vanilla. Both as an aperitif and as a digestive, it also enters the composition of many cocktails.
