The 15-year-old Abuelo Napoleon Cask Finish is part of the 15th Collection trilogy of the Varela Hermanos SA distillery, which wanted to highlight its expertise in aging rum. The best reserves of Abuelo were selected for this range carefully matured in American oak barrels and then finished at 15 years in old sherry, cognac and port casks.
This one has undergone a finish in old Napoleon cognac barrels, which gives it sweetness, richness and complexity with notes of dried fruits and coffee.
