The 15-year-old Abuelo Tawny Port Cask Finish is part of the 15th Collection trilogy of the Varela Hermanos SA distillery, which wanted to highlight its expertise in aging rum.
This is a 15-year-old rum from Panama that has been finished in old port barrels. Tawny is a term used by the British in the 17th century to refer to most Port wines because of their colour. The casks that contained this dessert wine offer a natural sweetness with a mixture of wood and berry notes to alcohols that age in it and a harmonious composition between fresh notes and fruity characteristics.
