The Aberfeldy distillery was built in 1898 by Alexandre and Tommy Dewar. It collects water, containing traces of gold, which comes from the Pitillie Burn spring and which flows down the Tay River. The Scottish company “John Dewar & Sons” took the initiative to launch “Last Great Malts of Scotland”.

Aberfeldy 16 YO is the single malt, unveiled in 2015 by the fantastic Aberfeldy distillery as part of the Last Great Malts series. It was matured for 16 years in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and old Oloroso Sherry casks giving it a balance between spiciness and sweetness.  He was awarded the gold medal several times in various competitions.
