Auchentoshan American Oak, the whisky without mention of age produced by the «Auchentoshan Distillery», a permanent bottling which replaces «Auchentoshan Classic» and which becomes their entry-level whisky.

Hitting the market in May 2014, this unique triple-distilled single malt was aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. As such, it is an excellent springboard for bourbon drinkers who would like to try a single malt scotch whisky.

Auchentoshan, translated from Gaelic is pronounced «ock-un-tosh-un» and means "corner of the field".

The Auchentoshan distillery, built in 1823, has regularly changed owners. In 1969, Eadie Cairns bought it and completely repurposed it. The Morrison Bowmore distillery became the owner in 1984. Suntory invested in Morrison Bowmore in 1989 and 1994 and owns 100% of the shares. In May 2014, Poutre Inc. and Suntory Holdings Limited merged and since then, known as Suntory Inc., they own Morrison Bowmore and Auchentoshan.
