It is the first whisky of this age distilled by Benromach since it was taken over by Gordon & Macphail. It is aged for 9 years in sherry and bourbon barrels and then aged for a few months in Oloroso sherry barrels.
For this whisky, Benromach uses slightly peated malt from the Highlands in the purest tradition of Speyside whiskies.
The result is a single malt with a rich aromatic palette that has earned him many awards including that of «Best Speyside Single Malt in the class of 12 years and younger» at the Whisky World Awards 2017.
