Josep Foraster Trepat is a red wine from the A.O. conca de Barberà made by the winery Mas Foraster from a variety of Trepat as its name suggests.

The grapes come from a vineyard aged over 50 years located at more than 500 meters altitude. The soils are alluvial with a presence of clay limestone and abundant rocks. The harvest is done by selecting the bunches, when the grapes are ripe.

Maceration is cold and for fermentation is used native yeasts. Josep Foraster Trepat, is kept in French oak barrels of 300 to 500 liters for five months.

You can enjoy it with white meat, fatty fish, soft cheeses, red meat, rice.
