Mas Perinet Likka

The name Likka comes from the Celtic language and means “stones”. Given the rocky landscape that covers the soil of Priorat, this name represents the spirit of Priorat in the bottle. The vines grow on soils of llicorella, bringing salty and earthy notes to this wine with a fresh acidity.

The grapes are picked by hand at an early stage, the first fruit to reach a maximum maturity created by the hot summer days.  All batches are cold macerated for 5 days before starting their fermentation in stainless steel tanks.  The maceration technique lasts 20 days for a gentle extraction of tannins.  The wine is aged for 12 months in neutral French oak barrels to build a round mouth.
