The Laphroaig Select is aged in four different types of barrels, chosen for their particular qualities. This scotch has aged in new American white oak barrels, Pedro Ximenez hogsheads, Oloroso sherry casks, quarter casks, as well as old bourbon casks. It is rich in the mouth, starting on a sweet note before revealing the famous smoky flavor. The finish is slightly dry and floral, with hints of ripe fruit.
