Mortlach 12 years is a single malt Scottish aged for 12 years in European and American oak barrels having formerly contained Sherry and Bourbon, to offer its character and robustness.

The distillery uses a complex distillation process, part of the whisky undergone twice, three or four distillations. They always have 3 styles of whiskies: medium-bodied, light and delicate or fleshy and sulfur, which are then collected before filling the barrels.

Mortlach was once a hidden treasure. A large part of its 3 million liters of whiskies is used to make «Johnnie Walker Black Label», one of the greatest blends worldwide recognized and a jewel of the Diageo empire. Regarding individual malts, Mortlach was silently the domain of independent bottlers, with the exception of Diageo’s Flora & Fauna range.
