The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 YO is a creamy, complex and rich single malt as it ages in two different types of oak barrels. A first time in American oak barrels to soften the whisky and a second time in sherry barrels to give it more complexity. Founded in 1892, the distillery "The Balvenie" is managed for five generations by the same family company and was one of the first distilleries to introduce different wood finishes for the aging of its malt.
