Tullibardine Sovereign is a whisky, in invigorated version, which was aged in ex-bourbon barrels of first filling. Tullibardine, originally a brewery, was converted into a distillery in 1947 and its name refers to the small medieval chapel dating from 1446 which is nearby.  In Gaelic, Tullibardine means «watchhill». The distillery closed its doors in 1995, reopened in 2003 and was then bought in 2011 by Maison Michel Picard, a French wine producer.
